Novou sezonu, jako již tradičně, otevřel první open air turnaj Svědek. Organizátoři již v pozvánce lákali účastníky na dobré počasí, které prý pranostikují z chování včel. Oproti meteorologům, kteří v průběhu týdne měnili předpověď podle zbylého lógru na dně hrnku kávy, měly včely pravdu.
Od ranních hodin byly příjemné teploty a sluníčko až na pár momentů svítilo na areál Cyklo tourist petanque clubu Ořech, kam přijelo 53 dvojic poměřit své síly a pozdravit se s ostatními hráči po zimě.
